This lovely program includes works in six different languages, from Renaissance to Contemporary eras. Composers range from Byrd, Gabrieli and Gibbons to Bach, Mendelssohn, Bortnansky and Bobby McFerrin. Set to twenty different Psalms, each work is a wonderful, highly individual, evocation of the Psalm text. And as usual, Sanford’s program arrangement makes the most of the musical individuality!
