The concert opens with Regina Coeli K. 276 and the wonderful Coronation Mass K. 317. We finish the evening with Vesperae solennes de Confessore K.339, also known as Solemn Vespers. The program notes by BCG artistic director Sanford Dole offer a wealth of information about Mozart and all three works—very much worth reading!
For this celebration of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Classical era, BCG will be joined by the renowned Jubilate Orchestra of period instruments and superb Bay Area soloists: Ann Moss, Janet Campbell, Corey Head, and Jeff Fields. Soloist bios and links to more information are posted here.

Jubilate Orchestra
The Jubilate Orchestra recently celebrated 20 years of service to the San Francisco Bay Area. Originally called the Magnificat Baroque Orchestra, the Jubilate Orchestra was formed in 1989 to provide period instrument ensembles to accompany Bay Area choirs. In this capacity, Jubilate has performed over 200 times with dozens of choirs, in repertoire ranging from Gabrieli to Brahms, and has even collaborated in the premieres of works by contemporary California composers.
